Cows and sheep like the leccinum mushrooms. That is why the bigger relative of leccinum rotundifoliae is named after the cow in Icelandic, kúalubbi (leccinum scrabum) and it is said that the beasts “follow the mushroom” late in the summer. They know that it is healthy food.
